Butterfly Mystery - Chapter 10

No way!
There she was, waiting for the game to start. Soccer wasn’t definitely her sport. She already knew who had sent her the card, her detective skills were telling her, but how did he managed to find where her locker was?
The tier was starting to fill up. The loudspeaker was now introducing the players. And there he was, no mistake. But why did he invite her? Was it a way to thank her?
“Excuse me, ma’am. Has this place been taken?”
Martha looked at the speaker. He was carrying a cap, but he seemed awesome inside it.
“Uhm…no. Please…” she said between blushes.
The youngster sat right near her. His cap was hiding his eyes; she really wanted to see them. The match eventually started. It was between schools: Westminster, Martha’s college, and Liverpool. He was behaving well, though. The cap boy was too observing someone.
“You are watching the one who’s in the attack, aren’t you?” Martha replied with a grin in her face.
He seemed surprised but smiled too.
“Yeah, he’s my roommate. How about you?”
“Oh, I’ve been invited…”
“Who invited this pretty girl before me?”
Martha had to lower her face. Oh, the heat!
“I think is that guy over there…” the boy turned at the referenced player, who had just been robbed a ball “He’s not very experienced, though…”
“Right…”
Then, she noticed someone else. Could he be…?
‘Na, gotta change lenses…’
She had been waiting the whole ten minutes to ask him this question.
“Why don’t you take off your cap?” she asked still blushing. Would the beautiful guy reveal his face?
The boy turned around to check his surroundings.
“Can’t, there’re too many girls…”
‘Too many girls???’
The conversation ended there. Martha was still deadly curious, but being quick wasn’t the best option. Maybe… ah, couldn’t be… She finally heard the sound announcing the break. Westminster was losing 1-0. Was there any chance left?
The cap boy stood up and turned at Martha.
“Well, I gonna check my player. Wanna come?” She agreed embarrassed.
They left quietly the bench and advanced towards the change rooms. The team was still leaving the field and a muscled guy advanced towards the place where Martha was.
“So, what do you thought?” he asked the cap boy.
“You’re getting better.” He said smiling and punching him friendly in his chest.
“Oh, take that thing off!” the soccer player took off the cap of his friend’s head.
‘Oh, crap!’
Martha had never seen such a beautiful face. The guy was perfect, the emerald eyes fitted perfectly with the huge smile he was always hearing, his nose was thin enough to exist in harmony and the unordered and brown lighted hair. Somehow, he was perfect.
Yes, she had already seen him, the day she had met the Security department.
“Sorry, pretty, this is Paul. My roommate and best friend.”
“Don’t say such things, you’re embarrassing me!”
She was supposed to present herself, but the words weren’t able to come out. The only words in her mind were related to the cap God, she had stick with him.
‘Wake up!’
Weird, she had already sensed that sensation.
“Hi, ahm, I’m Martha…” she said blushing and presented herself to the two guys.
“Pretty, I’m Henry…” Dreamy name. “I just gonna chat with this guy here. See ya!”
She waved at him, not noticing her heart beating fast. He had called her pretty.
“You have already started chasing guys, huh?”
The one she wasn’t expecting appeared.
Brian, the guy she had met the day she arrived. Ok, a very good-looking guy, but Martha regarded him as her rival.
“So what?” she asked sarcastically.
“Nothin’, just beware of your brother. But I guess it’s okay, he already has an almost girlfriend…”
‘What?’
“Don’t stare at me that!” he ordered with a pleasured smile “Just ask him!”
Can’t be! He can’t have a girlfriend… can he?
Brian felt he had already spoiled everything. He sighed and advanced towards the changing room.
“But, that guy you just met is right, you really are pretty…”
He disappeared after winking at her. Men, she was blushing too much for a day… However, she hadn’t still seen who she wanted. But after a while, he appeared.
The view was just clumsy. The coach was shouting at him and spreading his anger through the boy’s body. He was already chilling. Finally, the coach finished his speech and ordered him to enter the change room. Martha felt sorry for him, but he totally forgot about it when he saw her.
“So, what do you though?”
Dave was looking hopeful at her. What to say?
“Ah, well, keep practising and you’ll be a great soccer player!!”
“Really?!!!”
‘Telling lies isn’t as comfortable as it seems…’
“So, why did you invite me?”
This time, Dave was the one who blushed.
“Oh, well, to thank you…”
“I guess you paid your debt, but if you ever have a problem, tell me!” she winked at him.
“Ahm… Martha…”
“Yes…” it was the first time he had called her by name.
“Do you… you…”
“I what?”
“Do you have… a…”
“What? Spill it already!!!”
“DO YOU HAVE A BOYFRIEND?”
Boyfriend…
“Nothin’, just beware of your brother. But I guess it’s okay, he already has an almost girlfriend…”
She had to speak with her twin. And, forgetting Dave, she ran towards the school.
“What the…?”
She had left him without answer.
“Why does this only happens to me???”

Next Chapter:
Jack’s girlfriend and Martha’s feelings. The twin relation.
