Fifteen Journey - Chapter 33

“Where, where is everyone?”
Cassey had been left alone and couldn’t find anyone. The more she penetrated through the thick forest, the more uncomfortable she felt. It wasn’t the black spirits anymore; another evil force seemed to rise: the force of solitude.
Her feelings were mixed up, she knew that but she couldn’t help feeling she was being followed. Everywhere she went, he would always be there, silently following her. Then, someone appeared behind some bushes.
Her body was paralysed, as well as her mind. Her breath was the only thing she could hear, apart from the stranger’s footsteps. When he was one metre away from her, he stopped.
The tall, dark skinned and young man was reluctant to move. But his dark eyes showed no embarrassment, neither his cold face. In fact, he was about to say something when Cassey finally made her move.
“AHHHHHHH!!!” she ran away leaving the old teenager stupefied.
Her mind was filled with ghosts and creations of her own, not permitting her to rely on her five senses. But she kept running, to free herself from the made-up world, without any success.
Then, she quit sensing the floor. Her feet were suspended in the air but struggling to find some place to avoid her fall. Seeing the feet couldn’t find any place, she tried to use her hands and, fortunately, she found somewhere to grab to. She felt the gravity pulling her to destruction and finally opened her eyes.
Above her feet, a deep and dark cliff stood pushing her down. When her hand was losing the rock’s contact, a soft and sweated hand grabbed hers. With effort, Cassey was grabbed to safety and rolled herself due to the strength applied while saving her. After rolling, Cassey turned to her saviour to thank but the girl had fainted. Scratches were all over the girl’s body. Then, a shadow from above made her appearance.

Rick headed to the place he had last seen him. He saw him during the battle against Annya, but his present location was unknown. Rick was searching for his best friend.
Now, where could he be? The battle field was destroyed and was left with the remaining dust. Rests of battles were the most depressing thing to see…
Then, Rick heard someone slowly taking out a sword. The visitor was a new enemy for sure.
Faster than the visitor, Rick took out his sword quickly enough not to be cut. The enemy was quick and did fast moves, causing Rick to step back. Rick was only protecting himself and avoiding attack, so Thynia had to be used because the opponent used mainly strong attacks instead of quicker. But soon it changed: applying his strength, Rick struggled against the enemy’s sword and made it fly away with the shock. For a great finale, Rick put his sword in the opponent’s neck.
“Game’s over… Bradley.”
Rick’s best friend grinned.
“You’ve improved…”
Rick put his sword down. “A little maybe.” He said while packing his sword. “You knew I was searching for you, didn’t you?”
“A little maybe…” Bradley copied. “You’ve had too many strange powers lately.”
“Well, it’s about that too. Kane’s in real danger.” Bradley gasped and Rick tried to ignore him. “I know you don’t get along with him well, but he needs your help.”
Bradley sighed. “I’ll see what I can do. Your cousin isn’t endowed with fighting but I can’t beat an army…”
Rick grinned at him.
“Thanks man. I’ve got to go. My friends are waiting. We need to find…”
Then, the two teenagers heard a woman’s scream. It was Cassey.

Next Chapter:
And with tiredness, Rick reached the place from where the scream had come. The pearl they had searched for was in the floor, next to a tired body, illuminated by the shadow of an angel. – Giggling enemy

Author’s Note:
Long pause here, but I think the story is going well.
I’m busy with Project Fifteen so I’m not able to write everyday. I almost obliged myself to write this chapter… *sigh*
Comment please and, of course, I hope you liked it!
