Butterfly Mystery - Chapter 11

Run, run to where no one can find you…
That was the way Martha had to keep her problems away. Far away from everyone: in her bed.
“Are you okay?” Jen asked concerned.
Martha’s heart melted like butter.
“Thank you” she thanked avoiding visual contact. “But I want to be alone…”
Jennifer was still concerned after leaving the room. Seeing one of her best friends like this was something disturbing to her.
“I could…” she wondered with a victorious smile in her face.
She then headed to the boy’s dormitory.

A knock on the door was heard from inside the room.
“Stay out!” Martha ordered from inside.
However, the intruder didn’t obey.
“Didn’t you hear?” she sat in her bed to face the intruder. “ I said-“
“Shut up, sis.”
There was her brother.
“What are you doing here?” Jack asked.
“This is my room, if you don’t remember.” She ironically affirmed.
He grabbed her hands and stared at her, face to face.
“If you have a problem, you shouldn’t close yourself. You know I’am always here for-“
She exploded.
“DON’T YOU GET IT? YOU ARE THE SOURCE OF MY PROBLEMS!!!”
With that, she got out of the room leaving a clueless brother behind.
“Why?”

Fury was now leading her. It seemed that wherever she went, someone blocked her path. At least, she had that special spot.
Nature was peaceful there. The vision of the garden was always comforting. She was lying in the ground, trying to relax. Nature had that effect on her. But a shadow blocked the sun on her face.
“Excuse me… Can I sit here?”
Martha didn’t quite see the girl’s face due to the sunlight but she nodded.
“Oh, this is a perfect spot.”
The girl sat near Martha. The slight breeze danced with both girls’ hair: Martha’s ponytail and the girl’s long and dark-coloured hair.
Even a detective, Martha didn’t except the following incident.
“You can tell me you’re problems if you want…”
Martha was really surprised with the girl’s perspicacity. And without delay, told her everything.
“My brother was got a person whom he likes. In fact, he loves her. The problem is that I am his twin, we lived together and I got used to the idea that he belonged to me. I know that someday we would have to set apart, but I think that, at that point, I will be prepared to accept the situation.”
“Jealously?”
“Probably, but it is more than that…”
“Only one thing, get yourself a boyfriend to make him jealous as well!” the girl winked at Martha, which made her feel better. In fact, her detective skills ere operational once again, with which she identified the girl. Pauline Bernard, the girl who her brother had fell in love with.
But she didn’t hate Pauline at all. She was a friend now.

Jack was dishoping. He, Jennifer and Mandy had been looking for Martha for about half an hour. Jack was now relaxing a bit from his tiring walk, while Mandy and Jen were talking about their school life.
“Oh, but have you seen Mr. Keith? He’s like a whale!”
“But that’s nothing compared to Mr. Jonathan. Have you seen his big-?”
“Could you two just shut up already?” Jen was embarrassed while Mandy had a furious expression in her face. “I just wish Martha could be right here…” he said pointing at two females.
“Whom are you pointing at? That is rude…” Martha replied.
Jack didn’t bother answering her. He just hugged her as strong as he could.
“Stop, you’re suffocating me!” she replied happily. He had been forgiven.
Jack now spotted the other female.
“I just had the chance to meet your twin. She really is great! Don’t you think?”
Her smiled was melting Jack, which made him blush.
“So, who’s the girl you are in love to? Is it Sally?” she asked with dreamy eyes.
‘It’s you...’
“Oh,… ahm… it is…ahm… a secret!!! Yes, it is a secret!!!”
The three viewers were having fun, each one in a different way.
“Man, they are hopeless.” Jen replied still smiling.
“You got a point.” Mandy agreed bored and getting away. “See ya!”
However, Martha had a huge smile in her face.
“I get it, I get it!!!” she left the couple accompanied by a clueless Jen.

Next Chapter:
The club’s week. Can you survive it?

Author’s Note:
I hope you liked this funny chapter. Pauline is one of the most important characters: it is important not to forget her. Next Chapter may be different from what I planned, but it will be good as well. Stay tuned and… comment!!!
