Fifteen Journey - Chapter 11

“Another one?”
“Sure, bring it on!”
The servant brought another beer. Rick was really enjoying it, being treated that way... He had never imagined the immense glory Tourch’s players could enjoy.
‘It’s the happiness before the doom…’
Then, Rick felt an earthquake followed by population’s screams.
“What is happening?”
Everyone hurried to the bar’s exit. Rick just saw it: a huge creature similar to a giant dog growling to the citizens. It seemed the creature was searching for something… The small population was just looking petrified.
Then, Rick noticed a small stain in the top of the creature.
“Where is Number 7?” the stain asked.
The population removed itself from the place where Rick was. Rick was caught in surprise of this removal.
“What do you want from me?” he asked after trying to choose the best words.
“I, Number 3 of Tourch, challenge 7 for an official Tourch dispute.”
Everyone gasped.
Number 3 attacked without warning, not giving time to the population to move aside. However, his attacks seemed to have only one target: Rick. This last one was just evading from the attacks (or at least trying). His attacks were made by the big dog, with his big paws and trying to catch Rick, or at least scratch him.
“That isn’t the solution…” Number 3 joked.
Still Rick continued his defence tactic. They were fighting in the middle of the village; the both trying to avoid the destruction of houses. Eventually, the dog hit Rick, but Number 3 paused so that Rick could get up.
“Haven’t you understood already? That is useless. So pick up your sword and start fighting.”
“No…” Rick whispered.
“Ok, if you wanna play that way, I guess I just have to kill you…” Number 3 said without much enthusiasm. Rick corresponded the same way.
‘How can I defeat a dog that big?’
Rick was exhausted. He had to escape from the creature and at the same time think, something that wasn’t his strong quality.
“How many times are you going to escape that attack again?” Number 3 was starting to look frustrated.
‘One aim accomplished.’
The mutant dog attacked strongly again. However, the dog’s reflects were too slow and Rick got his chance. As fast as he could, he unsheathed Thynia, his sword, and made his attack in order to drill into the dog’s body.
‘Yes, I did it!’
He glanced at his enemy to see his works.
‘Can’t be!’
The dog didn’t even have a scratch.
“What were you expecting? Horous is the best partner a Tourch player can have. Attack!”
Rick did not have time to escape. He was just hit strongly and barely had forces to get up.
“Stop behaving like a little brat! Pick up your sword; it is an order.”
Somehow, Rick obeyed. He was fed up of escaping from Number 3.
“Let’s start the fight.” Rick said.
Number 3 grinned.
“Finally, you made the right choice.”
However, Number 3 lost Rick from his view only to find him seconds later in front of the lighted sun blinding 3’s eyes.
“Noooo!!!”
The dog reacted.
The final stroke was achieved.

Next Chapter:
Who won? Kane’s point of view. What secrets have 3 to tell us?

Author’s Note:
I loved this chapter. This is the first time I’m writing real action and I think I’ve been successful. Please comment!Another warning: I’ve already programmed something of the continuation of Fifteen Journey and that story is called Sixteen Journey (only to peck your curiosity! Eheh...).
