Brad's Adventures and Misadventures - Chapter 3

The streets were empty. It was on an afternoon and the two boys were crossing the road, walking slowly. They were both relaxed, walking on nowhere.

It was a dark room. There was the man sitting in a chair. Suddenly, a strange noise was heard.
“Have you found someone?” asked the strange voice,
“Yes, Sir, number 6 told me about two boys that seem good to this kind of mission.”
“Perfect, Robert. Make the tests first.”
“As you wish…”

“Well, here we are, my friend.”
“Thanks, James. Well, see you tomorrow”
James left. For a brown haired boy that wears the same blue clothes everyday, he was a pretty good friend. Good enough to worry about the others. Without him, Brad was alone.
He knocked at the gate loudly. Nobody answered.
“Where did I put my keys? I hope I brought…”
The sound of leaves smashing was heard.
“What was that?”
Another noise. It seemed to be getting closer.
“Who…Who’s there?”
No answer.
Then he saw a thrown stick approaching him.
“What a…?”
With a quick movement from his arms, he managed to defend himself. Then a rock appeared, falling from the sky. He didn’t had time to think, only to run. The rock fell on the ground, breaking into pieces.
Then was a sound. The sound of a popular killer in the West. The sound of a pistol.
“Run, Brad. Run.” He thought.
Then he turned around. The bullet was in the wall, leaving a little smoke in the air.
He was shaking. This was too much. Why was all this happening?
Then, someone appeared behind the bushes. A dark haired person, with brown clothes and green eyes, holding a gun in his hand.
“You…”
