The Haunted Tower - Chapter 7

Sorry for the long wait, it's getting too difficult to write so many things in english... Whatever, there's the seventh chapter, full of mystery and some other stuff. It may sound a bit confusing, so just try to be pacient and read it carefuly ;)

Chapter 7:
Ikkam

It was dark. The tower had no windows, and the only light Eyodar could see was the fire of the tousands of candles arround the rooms. The tower seemed to be completely empty, but if what people at the street were saying was true, there were a lot of traps inside it. If all the rumors were true, there was even a "guardian", which could be a some kind of monster or another ghost.
However, those were just rumors and Eyodar had more important things to deal with than just wondering about monsters and ghosts walking arround that creepy tower. He continued his path trough the corritors, and soon found the first stairs to the next floor.
Hopefully, thought Eyodar, I won't have to climb to the very last floor of the tower...
When he started to walk upstairs, something happen: an enourmous lamp in the ceiling carrying hundreds of candles felt down and hit the stairs right in front of him. Eyodar hold his breath. If he hadn't hesitate in walking upstairs, he would probably be dead by now. How could that happen? The entire tower was in pure condition, and suddently a lamp near him felt as if it was dropped off by magic.
Magic...
Looking rebuked to his magical dagger, as if it was responsible for that event, he blamed magic for its strenght against non-magician people. He should be more careful from now on. He steped forward and tryed to pass through that huge amount of candles.
Those stairs were even bigger than what they seemed to be at the bottom floor. After a long and desperate moment trying to reach the end of the stairs, Eyodar noticed he wasn't already in the top of the tower. In fact, he hadn't climbed a fraction of the height of it! Furious about that place, he continued his research to find the next way to go upstairs.

After wat seemed to be an entire life walking arround that floor, something caught Eyodar's interest: there was a closed room. That was the first time he saw a room in that tower that had its door closed to the outside. He went there and tryed to open it. It wasn't locked. He got in.
This was the first room he saw with no light. All the candles that used to enlight the other rooms had no fire in this one. Eyodar realised that this room had something special to be so different. But what could it be?
He decided to walk through it, to see what was in the other side of the room. Perhaps the reason for those differences could be explained there.
She has eight eyes, thought Eyodar.
Wait... This is not right... How did I thought that? Who is she? How can I think in things I don't know? Something was wrong. Eyodar tryed to ignore that strange and sudden thought and continued his walking.
She is looking to me, he thought.
What? Those thoughts again! But who is she?! Am I losing my mind? Eyodar was now scared. However, there was something magic in that room that made him try to reach the other side and not give up. He continued, afraid of what could happen next.
Her name is Ikkam, he thouht, again.
Who's Ikkam? Why are those thoughts floating in my mind? What is happening with me?
Before Eyodar could think in those strange events, he realised he had finally reached the end of the room. Now, there was no light to show what was hidding there. However, somehow Eyodar knew it was the end of the room, and knew that there was something there. Something big...
Some dots apeared in the air. First, Eyodar thought it was an optical illusion, due to the darkness, but then he realised it was something reflecting the light of the candles far away. So, there was really something there!
The dots lighten up, and looked like eight floating red balls. Now, they had their own red light. As soon as the darkness dissapeared, Eyodar saw the outline of the thing in front of him. It looked like a huge spider, with three meters high. But... it was just impossible to be such a strange thing!
She is Ikkam, the big guardian. She is now going to kill me.

Yes, I'm finally back! I'm now going to post some short stories before I continue to write The Haunted Tower (after all, those are the most important to new visitors that don't want to read book lenght stories :P).
And yes, that means that you'll have to wait to know what's going to happen next. I'm evil :D!

Oh my gosh!!! You're story just became brilliant! Honestly! I swear! You really surprised me! I wasn't expecting a spider but an eight-year-old toddler, since you say before she was eight. But it's fabulous! The holidays were worth!
Keep writing that way! It may be confunsing sometimes, but we, readers, can understand the action.
