The Haunted Tower - Chapter 6

After a little peaceful time walking arround Ashlaam, Eyodar will finally get into the haunted tower, were Lord Worroc, the ghost, lives. Now, the real story will begin. I really hope you like it (I'm afraid this kind of style may not be your favorite).
And... please... comment! I won't be able to write a nice story if I have only one person telling me what have I done right or wrong (thank you, Fipa)! I really think posting a little comment isn't that difficult!

Chapter 6:
The Tower

The haunted tower was built in the center of Ashlaam. Getting there would be rather easy, but entering the tower itself would be much more complicated, due to the guards that were watching carefuly near the entrances.
Eyodar was walking arround the tower, trying to find a way to pass trought the guards. He was dressing the same clothes he used when he went to the dangerous part of the city, and so some parts of it were still drenched with the blood of the bandits he attacked. His sword had no blood by now, because he used a shirt of a bandit to clean it. The magical dagger, also used to attack the bandits, got strangely clean by itself, and the only thing red in it was its blade.
A group of guards was talkin near what it seemed to be the main entrance of the tower. Someone must have sayd a joke and everyone began to laught. They were so interesested int that chat that they weren't pratically paying attention to their mission. Eyodar understood that, and realised that if he wanted to get into the tower undercover, he had to pass throught the biggest group of guards!
Although it seemed an easy thing to do, passing through a huge group of guards was far more complicated than wat he was expecting. Sometimes, one of the guards looked with a smile on his face to other directions than his partners, and he had already seen Eyodar, although the guard didn't understand he was trying to get into the tower. However, if Eyodar could get near the entrance and would be seen there, he would be certainly caught.
Trying to look like an ordinary person walking on the streets of Ashlaam, Eyodar got closer and closer to the entrance. Then, he jumped over a little wall and got into the forbidden area of hte city. If he had luck, the guards wouldn't remember to look for intruders inside the area they were protecting. However, if one of them or even a citizen looked at Eyodar, he wouldn't stay alive much longer, even with the help of his new dagger.

Jeryah was locked in a strange room, with gothic decorations. Although she was in a haunted tower, where a ghost uses to kill foreighner children, the entire building was heavily decorated with precious itens.
She looked arround her. Other eighteen children were standing in the same room, trying to forget they could die at any moment. One of them used to study in the same school Jeryah studed. They were friends. His name was Goshen. However, now there was no study, no school, and no chances of getting with friends, because if He knew, both of them wouldn't stay alive next day.
In that strange ambiance lighted by the fire of the thousands of candles, she remebered that day:
Thronkster began suddently to burn, firstly just arround the northen part of the city, but after some moments the fire spread to the whole city. It was getting hard to breathe...
The house began to burn. There was dark smoke everywhere. It was even harder to breathe...
The three masked monks appeared form the window. The mask's expression scared her. They grabbed her and jumped out of the window. Outside, the smoke was even more dense, the houses were dropping burning pieces everywere and the masked monks were hurting her as they were running through the burning streets of Thronkster. She couldn't breathe
!
Her thoughts were interrupted by a loud noise. A laught. Lord Worroc was there! She looked arround. The other children were all far away form her, letting her alone. Their face reveled fear. Panic. Suddently, she understood. Looking back, she saw a white light with a human shape. It was Him, looking at her and laughting loud.

Eyodar finally reached the gate. Fortunatelly, no one noticed he was there. But now, how could he open such a big gate without getting noticed? As an answer to that, the dagger's blade got warmer. Eyodar drew it when the blade was almost burning him. He looked to it and, just as if he knew how to open the gate with it for a long time, he put it in a drawing in the gate. It fitted perfectly. Then, in a second, everything changed and Eyodar got into the tower.
How... I didn't even open the gate!
But that didn't matter anymore. He was finally inside the haunted tower. There, he would have to find Lord Worroc, defeat him with the magical sword and save his daughter.
He steped forward. Now, there was no turning back.

Dion - Chapter 2

5 years later…

She opened her eyes and saw doom. Everything was devastated and no kind of life could be seen around. She painfully stood up due to a really strong headache and watched the landscape, her work. She started walking in the destroyed land full of lost rocks and green-less. Then, she saw something. It was a corpse.
She felt her stomach punched, making herself contort with pain. The guilty was too heavy to be carried by only one person. She crawled trying to get closer to the corpse. She eventually reached the pale face. He was an eighteen-year-old teenager, more or less the same age as she. She quickly took her hand off his face after sensing the cold skin. His expression was stunned. She felt she had already met him, but she couldn’t tell where or when, it was just a feeling. Besides that, he couldn’t be from Veleniar, his clothes were different from hers. A lot different. She reluctantly turned from him, as a mistake she wanted to escape from. She looked at the sky to change landscapes and try to find happiness. However, all she was able to see was a red sky and purple falling sun. Even the sky was dead.
Her sight was disturbed with the melancholic wind bringing dust to her face. She couldn’t see anything at all, but she continued her walk to find life. However, her trip didn’t last long since she tripped in a huge rock. Or so she though. The huge rock proved to be another corpse, the corpse of someone she knew really well. Garnd.
She kneeled near Garnd’s body. She felt her cheeks dry from one of the few things she had never done before: crying. He couldn’t be dead, he had promised her… She turned away her eyes from the ex-friend only to find two more corpses in the surroundings. Kilian, Namid, they were both dead. Dead. And all because of her and her stupid… She then remembered: the fight, the explosion, the life-drained soul she had. And she had killed Garnd… she was alone, forever. All it was all her fault.
The pain stroked again. She couldn’t take it… Maybe it was better that way, her life just didn’t make any sense…

“Dion!”
Dion opened her eyes. She was still crying and was now staring at Garnd right in front of her.
“What happened?” she asked.
“That is my question… Why were you…?” he shut up seeing her worried expression.
“I had a dream, a really strange dream…” Dion replied.
Garnd didn’t question her more. He had already enough information since he knew her enough to understand whether she wanted to talk or not. It was an habit, when she answered that way, she wanted to make secret. And Garnd knew the importance of secrets since he had his.
“Let’s go.” he told Dion.
“Why?”
“We can’t skip classes for all eternity. And you’ve got classes with the director today.”
Dion remembered Pramiet. She couldn’t describe the hate she felt for him. He was always telling her to learn how to control her powers. Why? Dion always though that when someone’s got a power, you need to explore it the best you can. At least, that was what the other students were doing. But her life wasn’t so bad. Each day, they had one lesson; one student per teacher was all that was permitted. Garnd didn’t have classes with Pramiet.
‘Lucky…’
Both teenagers crossed the green fields where every student could rest. However, they only used those fields because that was he only place where everyone didn’t go to. Especially during classes. Loneliness was essential to them and making friends wasn’t their style. What can I say? They were too similar to each other. But it had already rung and the students were playing near the fountain, the place where Dion and Garnd would have to pass to get inside the building. When they got there, all the kids shut up. Most students stopped playing when they saw Dion. It was certainly due to fear. She and Garnd continued their path across the playground, without bothering about theirs every movement being recorded by the kids’ eyes. However, the quiet was interrupted by a new student, who had come from another academy. She was some years older than Dion and had a convinced posture.
“Who do you think you are for shutting all the students up?” she asked with disdain.
‘Quiet, please…’
Dion just ignored her, followed by Garnd. The teenager was being grabbed by her friends, who her advising her not to defy Dion.
“Hey, ARE YOU EVEN LISTENING TO ME?”
No one understood quite well. All that foreign eyes caught was the teenager inside the fountain unconscious. Dion stared at her hands.
‘I’m not able to control my powers yet… and these stupid gloves aren’t helping.”
Dion was just about to turn away and continue her path until she saw Pramiet right in front of her.

I saw this incident from the first floor. However, after Dion had been dragged by Pramiet, I saw someone watching the scene near to me. In that occasion, I didn’t quite paid enough attention to her, but I guess she was the only one who could get information from Dion. Her name was Namid.

Next Chapter:
Pramiet’s office. The gloves.

Author’s Note:
People, I’m so glad I finished this off. I have a great new to tell you all (I guess…). At least, me, Fred and Saritah passed the MOCK exam. This exam was to decided whether you’d do the FCE in June or in December and it seems that both three of us will be doing it in June. I don’t know yet Ricardo’s result but I hope it’s a pass too. Pray for us! And comment, of course… Oh, and probably, this is the last time I travel through time (eg: # years later...)...

Fifteen Journey - Chapter 20

Rick was calmly walking in the little village’s roads. He was just burning time since he couldn’t go to the motel. He sat in a bench to rest. He hadn’t slept since the night after Mike’s defeat. He just wanted to close his eyes… slowly… No, he couldn’t sleep now. He decided to see his beautiful sword, Thynia. He and Thynia had spent too many adventures together and she was the most precious belonging Rick had. He had received it in his thirteen birthday and had kept her with him since then.
He unfolded Thynia to see his best friend. However, surprise caught him. Thynia was completely destructed due to the battle against Cassey’s transmission. He couldn’t battle with Thynia that way!
He stood up and walked desesperately in order to find an ironsmith who could fix Thynia. He eventually saw the sheet-anchor where it was written blacksmith. Without hesitating, he entered in the small building. Rick went down the stairs where a yellow and shining light was emerging. When he reached the lighted room, he had to close his eyes due to the blinding light there was. Rick managed to see someone using a blowtorch in some kind of machine. Without noticing, Rick tripped in a set of tools, making that person noticing Rick due to the noise. More bruises…
“Are you alright?”
“Yeah, thanks…”
Rick quickly stood up and looked embarrassed. The person removed the protective mask revealing to be an nineteen-year-old guy.
“So…” he started “With which purpose are you here?”
Rick showed Thynia to the stranger.
“You’ve got a real problem here… You see, I’m not the village’s ironsmith but I can give you a hand if you don’t mind.”
“Really? Thanks!”
The stranger smiled and started examining Thynia.
“So, who is the owner of such beautiful sword?” the stranger asked Rick.
“Rick Flaim. You?”
“Fred Wink”
They were stunned. They had recognised each other.

They were both sat in the floor with their back against the machine Fred had been fixing. There was only silence and none of them wanted to break it. What to say?
“Have you seen any Tourch player?”
Rick was surprised.
“What do you me-”
“You know very well what I mean!” Fred said almost shouting. “Sorry, but this wasn’t exactly the way I imagined of facing my enemy. I don’t even know if I am already ready to battle…”
“Well, to be honest, I have already defeated two Tourch players…”
‘TWO?!!!’
“Rick Flaim, I challenge you for a Tourch dispute!!!”
Rick stared perplexed at Fred.

The sun was almost arriving.
Rick and Fred were facing each other. Rick was embarrassed with Thynia still folded in his hands. Fred, that was inside the machine adapted to his body, was with a determined look staring at Rick waiting for any movement. The village’s population were watching far away from the battle field, like if this battle would determine their destiny.
Eventually, Fred advanced to Rick doing the first attack, which Rick easily avoided. Then, he saw a wire in the floor.
‘What is this?’
Rick approached the wire slowly. Fred was still turning due to the machine’s height and suddenly he couldn’t move. Rick had cut the wire and was now approaching Fred.
“Do you know what you just did? I’m out of energy now!”
The population had burst in laughs.
“The battle is over, dude. Surrender now.” Rick said raising Thynia to Fred’s face.
Fred now had a smile in his face.
“I will never surrender…”
And, somehow, the machine started making noise again. Rick was pulled to a building near.
“I have a recharge for my beautiful engine. The battle has just begun, amateur…”
Rick cleaned the slippery blood coming from his mouth. He felt too tired from not sleeping and from previous battles. Maybe that was the end; at least he wouldn’t have to worry so much. But worst of all…
“Can we get this over with?” Fred asked.
…Thynia was destroyed.

Next Chapter:
Continuing like this, Rick will die. Forgiving is the key.

Author’s Note:
There you’ve got, Fred. Twenty is a good number.
Folks, I won’t be able to update as fast for now on. Don’t expect more chapters this week. Till updating time, enjoy life and comment!

Fifteen Journey - Chapter 19

No one had said a word. Mike was extremely worried with Horous’s health and, neither Cassey nor Rick wanted to stop the silence, not to say something stupid. They were heading to the next village, the village where Cassey had been received, and she had agreed to join them, at least till Horous was better, and guide the two of them. Rick wasn’t sure of his responsibilities. He hadn’t apologised Mike for not rescuing him in the right time yet, and that was really heavy in his mind. He hadn’t had either the chance to talk with Cassey, to solve things, and his feelings for her were changing, some direction he didn’t want to go. And for the first time, he was afraid in the Tourch’s woods. He didn’t know what to choose between his honour as a Tourch player and his responsibilities as a friend.
“There it is!” Cassey pointed to huge spot in the next hill.
Mike was hopeful. He started running. As soon as Horous’s was healthy again, he could be relieved for his best friend’s sake.

“Kyaaaaa, now, what are we gonna do?”
Rick smiled at Cassey. She was laid in the room’s bed they had rented and were waiting for Mike to arrive.
“I guess Horous will take time until full heal” Rick wondered “Wanna go somewhere?”
Cassey looked suspiciously at him.
“What are you thinking…?”
She didn’t have time to reply. Rick grabbed her hand and brought her downstairs to outside the motel.
“What are you doing?” she said punching him.
“Wait and see”
He took her to one of the bars he had seen when entering the village and took her inside.
“What are you? A pervert-holic?”
“I am not sure if I am a pervert, but I am definitely alcoholic. Hey, barman, two!”
She looked at him with an I-don’t-drink-alcohol look. For Cassey’s deception, the drinks arrived too fast.
“Come on, taste it”
“Never in my life!” she replied with disgust.
For Cassey’s stupefaction, Rick drank his own in one time.
“Are you normal?”
“Maybe… but guess what? If you don’t want yours, you can give it to me…”
“I prefer drink it to have to pull you till the motel drunk”
Rick had a victorious smile in his face. Cassey had just staring at her drink unsure of what to do. However, Rick helped.
Cassey was caught. Rick pulled the glass to Cassey’s mouth obliging Cassey to drink it all. And she had sticked to the scheme…
“Whaa ae hou, a mohon?!!!” she replied with her mouth full of beer.
Rick decided to help her. And he kissed her.
To Rick, it seemed the end of what could be a beautiful love. But it was the end, since his feelings for her were decreasing. He didn’t want the end to happen, so he didn’t break the kiss.
Cassey had her eyes open. She was just stupefacted. Maybe the time reaction was too slow because she was drunk. Anyway, just before she was thinking of closing her eyes too, her conscience spoke louder. The people were staring at them, but bothering with that wasn’t Cassey’s style.
“WHAT ARE YOU DOING, YOU PERVERT?!!!”
She punched him, directing him to the barman’s balcony. I hate you, those were the last words Rick heard from Cassey.
“Are you alright?” the servant asked.
Rick just stood up ignoring the servant’s question. He paid the drinks and got out of the bar. He knew what to do now, he couldn’t go to the motel since he had to avoid Cassey.
Cassey…
“I’m progressing…”

Next Chapter:
No sleep. Thynia isn’t proper to battle. Night meet.

Dion - Chapter 1

10 years later…

I am not writing this because I felt inspired to. No, everyone needs to find out what really happened since she was born. These are fragments of my memory.

Many people murmured echoing in the large room. This was no ordinary day for the birthday boys and girls. The ten-year-old kids were nervous, that was easy to recognise. Even I was nervous. I had had my graduation a long time ago but reliving those moments was kind of painful. I was watching from a separate room, but they couldn’t see us. And when I say “us” I am referring to older students that wanted to see their friends’ graduations, including Garnd, one of my enemies. Of course, I had other intentions by being there, as well as he…
The director started calling the students. We could see their faces shivering, as well as their bodies. I looked at the first student and I remembered myself, in that day, the day I received light, the worst power you can receive, at least in my country. The first student approached a table made from rock where the director told him to lie. And for the first time, I saw the director’s face: he just didn’t like it. The table blocked any kid’s movements and he, somehow, closed his eyes, and started to shine. I remembered the table’s spirit going through my brain I researching my soul, looking for mental strength and found nothing. In that kid’s case, he seemed to have the water power in himself. After all, each power requires a different personality and in Her case, I already knew which Her power was.
The graduation went through with the attribution on more powers. There was a graduation everyday, since everyday there was a birthday due to the huge amount of students in this school. There were quite a lot of kids whose tenth’s birthday was in that day. It seemed that light hadn’t been picked. I understand now why. Anyway, She was left the last. And Pramiet hadn’t done that by mistake. Before I could observe more in the other side of the glass, I heard my side’s door doing noise. It seemed that there was just me and Garnd in the room. It was better this way, nobody would know before the right time. I realise now that it was a mistake but what has being done can’t be changed. I joined Garnd with his staring at the glass. Pramiet was talking with Her something that I couldn’t guess. Pramiet then proceeded the graduation. The table put Her shining too but Her shine was different. It was black, grey and colours of the sort. I was already expecting that but I, and I guess Pramiet too, we had hope it wouldn’t happen that way. Garnd then left the room, with a smile on his face: the expected from someone whose power is ice, but, everyone knew that, he was Her best friend. I looked again at the window perplexed. I was still an eleven-year-old little boy but it was simple to me to reach. Pramiet, our director, was hopeless. I knew that Pramiet’s power was light, like me, but he had been learning some useful tricks. Light means pureness, pureness of the heart. But She had been picked to share the opposite power, the most powerful of all powers…
Dion was the dark.

Author Note:
Hi there! Dion's first chapter. I must warn you that this story is ultra depressing as well as creepy sometimes but I guess making a crossover will improve my writing skills and that is one of my aims. So please everyone, comment!

The Haunted Tower - Chapter 5

There it is: the first chapter with some real action facing our hero. Now that a strange group of bandits want to fight Eyodar, he will have to show why is he different from the other warriors that fought in Ashlaam before and died trying to defeat Lord Worroc, the ghost.

Chapter 5:
Time runs out

Eyodar drew his sword just some seconds after the bandits. He already knew that in that part of the city his sword could be very useful. He looked again at the group. There were seven enemies, and he was just one. However, he was a master swordsman, and usually one simple enemy wasn't enough to defeat him. Four members of the group got closer, and Eyodar thought it was time to begin the battle.
The closest member of the group died before he could do any damage to Eyodar. Now, he was going in the direction of the second one, that blocked his first attack, trying to counterattack next. But his counterattack didn't work, and then Eyodar finally got a chance to break trough his defenses. At the second try, it worked and another dead body felt to the ground.
Before the surrounded warrior could make a move, the two other men fighting him came closer and attacked togheder. He bloked the attacks, but when he was going to hit someone, they attacked again. His bloks were getting weaker as the bandits were using their numbers to attack him. He couldn't use his sword unless it was to defend an enemy attack!
Now, he was fighting against four bandits, and the only thing he did was to scratch one of them. They were pushing him to a wall, and if he didn't do something immediatly, he could die!
One of the bandits finally made a mistake and Eyodar grabbed the chance to hit him in the arm. But that wasn't a deadly strike, and the group finally made him hit a wall. Now, there was no escape!
He blocked the first attack. Then, the second. In the third, his sword nearly flew away. In the fourth, it did. Without protection, he saw a blade coming to his face.
Then, in less than a second, Eyodar remembered he had a dagger with him, drew it and slashed the air with a large arm movement, hitting the floor and letting the dagger fly out of his hand with the impact.
After a moment waiting for the sword to kill him, Eyodar looked up and saw four dead bodies in front of him. All of them had a very deep cut that was bleeding very fast.
So this is the power of the dagger... This weapon is more dangerous than what I thought. I'd better use it carefuly...
The last bandit wasn't there. He probably ran out of the battle when he saw the power of the dagger. He could be a very dangerous killer, but he wasn't that stupid to fight a man with magical weapons.
The rest of the path to the Red Fish had no problems, and Eyodar got there soon. However, when he finally got into his bedroom, a strange feeling invaded him. Something was wrong. Very wrong. Then, he realized: it was Jeryah!
Lord Worroc has probably began to kill the children of Thronkster, and Jeryah was in great danger! Now, there was no time left to walk on the streets of Ashlaam. If he really wanted to rescue his daughter, he needed to do it right now, otherwise it would be too late...

Dion - Prologue

It was a quiet day. Pramiet was quietly resting in a chair with his eyes closed. The age was consuming is life. Being the director of the main academy was tiring. Still, he knew the time was arriving. Soon, everything would change. And he had to be there. He was needed.
He stood up and got to the window. His pupils were playing what they could. But even them, some day, would be like himself, lifedrained. Anyway, everyone was, in a way, abandoned by his parents, so did the parents. This system had been working since the beginning. The students were living a lie.
His thoughts were interrupted by a knock on the door.
“Sir, the time is here…”
“Finally…”
Pramiet slowly got out of the office. He went through the corridor followed by his servant. He finally stopped and opened a door allowing the servant to enter too into the small but lighted room. The servant quickly closed the door.
“Olusiem,” Pramiet said turning at his servant “you were right.” Pramiet tasted a strange drink from the only object present in the room “This is really the time…”
Pramiet tasted once more the drink from the cauldron transmitter of light “She is born…”

Author's Note:
Welcome to the beggining of Dion, Fifteen Journey's crossover.
This story is extremely complex, so you need to read it carefully. This prologue is to introduce Pramiet, who is the director of a famous academy. Be tunned to next chapter. And comment as always!

Dion - Preface

Welcome to the beggining of Dion, Fifteen Journey's crossover!
First of all, thanks to Fred (rrrr, bastard...) you already know what a crossover is. If you don't, contact me. Anyway, if you read one of the stories, you don't necessarily have to read the other, since you understand both without reading its crossover. Dion is about a girl that has just graduated, but this graduation isn't common. I won't give you more details or the story will be ruined. The title of the story is really easy to understand (you will find out in the first chapter). Till then, have a nice time!!!
